Paul has worked in the mission-critical communications sector for his whole career starting on an apprenticeship and graduate programme with Rediffusion Radio Systems.
He then progressed into a technical sales role with Rhode & Schwarz for a short period of time before moving into the Emergency Services market place in which he has undertaken a wide variety of roles including development, project management and programme director roles including overall responsibility for the implementation of the market leading DS2000 Integrated Communications and Control Solution during the Airwave rollout. He was subsequently promoted to Head of Control Room Solutions.
In 2014 Paul was appointed Managing Director of Capita’s Communications and Control Solutions business unit that provided Command & Control (ControlWorks and Vision) and Communications (DS3000) solutions to the emergency services and critical infrastructure projects in the UK and overseas.
In 2017 Paul was appointed Managing Director of the Secure Solutions & Services (SSS) business which brought together the full Emergency Services Portfolio as a single business entity with revenue of circa £75m and 550 employees. Paul led SSS through the sale to NEC and the subsequent CMA process and has taken up the position of Business & Product Development within the merged NEC Public Safety Business in 2023. In this role he oversees the Sales and Product Direction of the Public Safety Business to ensure that we have solutions that meet our customers’ needs today and into the future.
