Michael is a scientist, modeller, data analyst, and decision specialist. His primary interests are using mathematical and statistical modelling to improve the management of human systems and natural resources. His research career has involved modelling to improve strategic planning for skilled workforces, guide decision-making in ocean ecosystems, explore drivers of individual behaviour in coastal communities, and assess the viability of different climate change mitigation strategies.
He has provided advanced modelling and data analysis services to governments, corporations, and other groups to facilitate adaptive management. His current role involves modelling optimal resource allocation for Victoria Police.
