
As an entrepreneur, educator and advocate, Martin Haese builds bridges between environmental and economic priorities.
Martin is the Chair of the Premier’s Climate Change Council in South Australia, providing independent advice to the Deputy Premier and State Cabinet on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and mitigating and adapting to climate change.
In 2014, Martin was elected as the 78th Lord Mayor of Adelaide, a public office he held until late 2018. He was a guest speaker at COP21 in Paris in 2015 and the World Cities Summit in Singapore in 2018.
He is the former Chief Executive of South Australia’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry and recently appointed as Special Envoy to Singapore and Southeast Asia for Trade and Investment for the Government of South Australia.
