Having spent 19 years working for the New Zealand Government, including the last 10 years with New Zealand Police, Josinta is a career public servant and intelligence professional.
Her career has been varied, seeing progression from analyst to Senior Manager, including two deployments overseas, leadership roles at district and national levels, and the establishment and growth of teams. Her career highlight is also the focus of her presentation at this Conference – leading a two-year project to implement the staff safety-focussed Tactical Intelligence capability as part of the Tactical Response Model, for NZP. This project dovetailed various passions of Josinta, including working with high-performing teams, working in a high-stakes tactical environment and being part of organisational change.
She and her team were nominated for numerous awards, and won one, in the 2023 New Zealand Institute of Intelligence Professionals Awards ceremony. Josinta graduated with Distinction as a Master of International Security, with a focus on Lone Actor Terrorism. Outside of work, she is most happy running through a forest and spending time with her partner and family.
