
John Croker is the Managing Principal Solicitor responsible for Human Rights within Victoria Police, and a Researcher at the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights within the Faculty of Law at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on the use of Artificial Intelligence by law enforcement agencies, and the important role that International Human Rights Law should play in regulating this use. He has previously worked at the Commonwealth, State and Territory Governments within Australia with a specialisation on the justice system and human rights, including for the Victorian Department of Justice and the Australian Federal Police.
John’s academic role has led to work with the United Nations, and law enforcement agencies around the world including in the United Kingdom, Germany, France and the Middle East.
