Georgina Gold is the Principal Manager, Strategy and Policy, for the NSW Police Force Firearm Registry. With over 20 years-experience in strategy, policy, and regulation in the NSW public sector her portfolio responsibilities have spanned disability, multicultural affairs, food security, and law enforcement.
Georgina joined the NSW Police Force in 2015 at the Firearms Registry. She was the lead negotiator for NSW on the 2017 National Firearms Agreement and has contributed to multiple legislative and regulatory reforms aimed at frustrating criminal access to and use of legal firearms.
In May 2022, she was nominated as the chair of the Australian Firearms Information Network (AFIN) user group. AFIN is the national firearm tracking system hosted by the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission. She has been advocating for improvements in AFIN, as well as in legislation, policy, and processes to curb interstate trafficking of firearms.
