Michelle is the Acting Director of the Intelligence Directorate, Crime and Intelligence Command with the Queensland Police Service. The Intelligence Directorate supports intelligence driven policing through forward-looking, proactive capability to support operational and strategic responses to problem places, cases and issues of greatest harm and risk to the community. The Intelligence Directorate provides quality, actionable and timely intelligence to enable tactical, operational and strategic decision-making that supports the organisation’s objectives, priorities and performance indicators.
Michelle has worked in the criminal justice system for two decades, with a key focus on delivering authoritative, evidence-based advice on complex matters impacting the crime environment. She has published nationally and internationally, conducting innovative operational research to drive prevention and disruption, particularly in relation to domestic and family violence and youth crimes.
