
Cyril Piotrowicz is the Secretary-General of France’s Observatory of Scientific and Technological Innovation for Security within the French Gendarmerie.
Cyril graduated from University Lyon 3 in criminal Law (MSc), he conducted a national study and wrote several chapters and scientific papers about artificial intelligence applied to law enforcement, mostly on legal and ethical aspects of predictive policing and its social acceptability and is now taking part in various expert groups with Interpol, Europol and United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute.
Since 2019, he’s dedicated to the implementation of technological intelligence and foresight for the French Gendarmerie. With more than 100 scientific projects in partnership with industries or academics, both at national and international level, the French Gendarmerie is offering great opportunities to its 300 PhD and PhD candidates to contribute to public security and criminal investigation.
