The Director Logistics and Equipment (an Executive member of Victoria Police Command) is accountable for the leadership of the Victoria Police Logistical Support Branch, Armoury, Transport Support Unit, Vehicle Impoundment Unit and a number of warehouse’s. The role is responsible for the sourcing, supply and transport of operational equipment, uniforms and consumables and the management of seized property and evidence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage the Departments strategy and alignment of business plans, transformation, overseeing the management of key organisational business risks and ensuring the strategic co-ordination and integration of logistic services.
- Oversee the financial management of the department, managing budgets, forecasts and risks.
- Manage and review the departments procurement and contract management, to achieve finance sustainability targets.
- Develop and lead a multidisciplinary and capable workforce to support the achievement of departmental objectives.
- Build strong partnerships both internally and externally and communicate, consult with stakeholders in developing, managing and delivering plans, strategies and programs.
