Associate Professor Campbell Wilson is the co-director of the AiLECS (AI for Law Enforcement and Community Safety) research laboratory. The AiLECS Lab is a joint initiative of Monash University and the Australian Federal Police. His expertise encompasses machine learning, information retrieval and digital forensics. He has published widely in these and related fields. His current research focuses on the application of AI in addressing serious societal issues such as online child exploitation. He also explores the ethical implications of AI technologies in law enforcement applications and their explainability in policing and judicial contexts. During his time at Monash University, Campbell has previously served as the Associate Dean (International) of the Faculty of Information Technology.
